Food For Thought?

8/28/2020

Ladies, we love to eat what we love to eat, right? I know I do!
Well, here's some food for thought: Food is your friend. That's right, I said it. And instead of depriving yourself of the foods you love, why not take an inventory of the typical foods you eat and consider how you can incorporate more healthy foods in your daily routine.
If your kids needed extra fruits and vegetables, you'd find a way to make sure they ate them right? If they needed to drink more water, you'd be finding creative ways to get that water in them without fail. And if the doctor told you that your child needed a more balanced diet, you would plan out their daily meals in a heartbeat to make sure they were on track.
So, here's the question: What about YOU?
The foods you eat can absolutely make you or break you, however, instead of losing sleep over what you eat on a given day, take a step back and evaluate where you can make those positive changes today.
There is no need to worry about the past and dwell on the negative- tomorrow is a new day! How will you make the most of it? Remember, eat to live and enjoy it!

RENEW

Ready for a change? Ready to wake up energized? Ready to live a better, healthier life? Ready to be optimistic in the face of adversity? Then, it's time to Renew your life and live on purpose.

Women are under a tremendous amount of pressure as the backbone of our families and many work full-time jobs. Everywhere I look, I see women in a leadership role and wearing many hats.  We are caregivers, mothers, teachers, nurses, executives, speakers, bakers, decorators, doctors, engineers, bus drivers, receptionists, therapists, managers, business owners and the lists goes on. The exact title or position doesn't matter, because we are all human beings and can appreciate the hard work and compassion that women give on a daily basis. But, what happens when women forget to nurture themselves?

As a busy, professional woman who takes her responsibilities seriously and desperately wants to be/do/have it all, what's missing is the all-important and easily forgotten "Me Time".  When was the last time you took time to do something that you enjoyed? When was the last time you burst out laughing? Danced to your favorite song? Took off early from work just to have some "alone time" before the hustle and bustle of the evening duties began? Took a trip to your favorite spot?

If it's been so long that you cannot remember,  I challenge you to break out of the mold and start changing your life for the better. It's possible to start today! Here are my 3 Be's of Renewal:
  • Be intentional
  • Be original
  • Be transformed
You do not have to wait for the right time, the perfect situation or the best day of the week. The time is now. There will never be a perfect situation and today is a very good day of the week. You can do it, I believe in you!

BALANCE- The Key to Wellness

As a busy woman you want Optimal Health and Wellness but you are pulled in many different directions, right? How do you manage it all and not feel overwhelmed? Here's the key: Balance is the key to wellness! But many times, we are not able to see where we are off-balance even if it's right in front of our eyes.

When you visit a doctor, a mechanic or a new hairstylist, the first thing that is done is an assessment. That's right. You bring your issues and concerns and the professional gives you a diagnosis (or interpretation) and a plan to treat your specific problem. So, who is managing your overall wellness? There is where YOU have to take control, dig deep and learn what you need to be successful in this area.

I challenge you to look at your life and think about those areas that need to be brought into alignment. If you need further assistance, reach out to us and ask to take our Wellness Assessment for Optimal Health.  Our mission is to help you transform your life for the better!
